About Seminar Theme:

Libraries witnessed a paradigm shift in disseminating information due to the advancement in ICT, Internet and digital technologies. Cloud computing is a relatively new model of internet application which enables distributed/virtual computing services. Cloud computing allows sharing infrastructure, which provides ultra-large-scale distributed data storage and network services. Cloud computing application in library mainly embody in resource and service construction, which play an important role in some areas, such as data storage, data management, hardware and software sharing, database resource sharing, integrated digital resources, one-stop entry, a full range of user interaction service and extend the application of complex network services.

Objective of the Seminar:

To introduce the concepts of Cloud computing and its models, application in library service by demonstrating case studies. 

Resource Persons:

NCSI-Net members who have practical experience in using Cloud computing services and implemented a wide range of library services on the cloud will serve as resource persons.

Registration Fee:

Rs. 300 for Students (Should carry ID Card) and Rs. 600 for working professionals, for NCSI-Net members Rs. 500. The fee covers Seminar kit, working lunch and tea/coffee.
